First mobility station starts up in Leipzig - App "Leipzig mobil" available

On July 8, 2015, Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB) GmbH's first mobility station opened in front of the LVB Service Center in Markgrafenstrasse under the overall control of city Mayor Burkhard Jung.

This mobility platform showcases various services including an information and reservation platform, which can network public transport (bus and rail), car and bike sharing opportunities (nextbike/teilAuto) and it also has a charging point.  Apart from setting up a further 24 mobility stations in the city of Leipzig, the offer is being rolled out in parallel for the reservations and an information service from August 2015 via the “Leipzig mobil” smartphone app for devices running on Android or iOS operating systems. As a passenger and LVB customer traveling in the city of Leipzig and the surrounding area, you can combine your mode of transport at any time with just one registration and you are charged from just one source via your LVB customer account. The service in Leipzig is unique in Germany.

The design and implementation was based on the mobility platform of the tried-and-tested easy.GO platform and this is being developed into a mobility platform.
