German Mobility Award (Deutscher Mobilitätspreis): easy.GO receives the award

With the easy.GO app, the smartphone app for bus and rail local public transport services, TAF mobile GmbH, a software company, is one of the ten prize winners of the German mobility award which is being launched this year. As part of the competition, the “Germany – Land of Ideas” initiative and the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure are giving awards to pioneering best practice projects in the field during the 2016 year of the competition. With the mobile solution easy.GO, TAF mobile is offering an innovative digital solution that makes mobility smarter by preparing information on the various transport options so that it is user friendly and there is also a facility to purchase tickets directly.

Around 350 start-ups, companies, associations and research institutions from all over Germany entered the competition with their Intelligent Mobility projects. A jury comprised of 16 experts and chaired by Dorothee Bär, Member of Parliament and Parliamentary Secretary of State at the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, selected the ten prize-winning projects in the competition. Yesterday evening, together with Ute Weiland, Managing Director of the “Germany – Land of Ideas” initiative, Ms. Bär paid tribute to those in charge of the ten winning projects at a ceremony at the Ministry of Transport in Berlin.
